WAUSAU -- A Wausau group is challenging others in the community to go green.

The "Commission for a Greener Tomorrow" is taking "Earth Day" one step further.

It's asking people and businesses to be more eco-friendly for a month, by making simple lifestyle changes.

Some suggestions include ditching bottled water and cleaning up after your pets.

They also have a number of ideas to save gas, like taking the bus, riding a bike and eating locally.

The group's chairperson, Kelly Zagrzebski, says, "It's fun and it's the right thing to do. If you're looking at being here and looking at the environment and the amount of vehicles that we drive, the amount of energy we use, we all should be aware of it."
